Halloween at Disneyland
Happy Fall! It’s been a little busy over here hence the complete silence, but I figured the best way to get back into my blog was to post about one of my favorite seasons, Halloween! About a week ago, we headed down to Disneyland and California Adventure for a full on Halloween kick-off day. Disneyland has outdone themselves this year with the level of décor, experiences, and seasonal Halloween food offerings. I was shocked to see all of the new things this year!
All of Disneyland is decorated, from the light posts, to little areas behind some of the stores in New Orleans Square. The Haunted Mansion looks amazing as always, and the feeling of Halloween fills the air as you walk through each area of the park. There is something so magical about going to the park when it’s all decorated like this, especially when it’s starting to cool off and you can feel the crisp fall air. We grabbed orange Mickey Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar, and hit some of our favorite rides.
Of course, you need a good seasonal accessory for a Disney trip like this, so I opted for my brand new custom made poison apple Mickey Ears from Happily Ear After. They are the perfect Halloween ears in my opinion!
After some time wandering around Disneyland and enjoying all the décor, it was time to head over to California Adventure for lunch at Cove Bar. Cove Bar just released some seasonal Halloween items, which if course we had to try. They are offering “Ghost”-ly Pepper Nachos – which is ghost pepper-marinated flank steak with green tortilla chips, topped with ghost pepper cheese sauce, black beans and avocado-tomatillo salsa. These were excellent and super colorful. We also got the Halloween cocktail which is a purple alcoholic concoction with an orange sugar rim, a glow cube, and an edible eyeball inside, oh my!
California Adventure got completely decked out this year and the whole park looked amazing. From the headless horseman at the front of the park, to the elaborate bats coming out from the top of Carthay Circle, to the incredibly creative décor in Cars Land, everything looked amazing, and everything was so detailed and well put together. We grabbed a seasonal beer over at the Studio Bar in Hollywood Land and then a Monstermallow Donut from Schmoozies and enjoyed our time taking everything in.
My photos tell a much better story than I ever could, so I will leave you with all of my favorites from our Disney Halloween day. I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks for the Mickey’s Halloween Party. Stay tuned for a full rundown of that event as well!
