Local Favorite: Yelp Event at Blast City Laser Tag

Alright, time for another Yelp Elite event roundup. I went to two in the same week, so I have lots to share!

This time it was a night of being a kid again at Blast City Laser Tag in Oak Park. We headed in around 7pm to check in, and were greeted by both the Yelp staff and the Blast City/Kidzone team. They were all friendly and accommodating throughout the entire night. We made our way to the back of the building where all the food was, this was a huge space filled with food options! They had pitchers of 805 beer, and carafes of wine for us to enjoy, along with mac n cheese, fried cauliflower bites, pizza and more. The food was great and fresh, all served on-site and available anytime you go. Churned Creamery was there giving out ice cream as well - I chose the nutella flavor (YUM) with some sprinkles and oreos on top...DOUBLE YUM.

After successfully making our way through the food stops (and grabbing a Little Mermaid cake pop, YES!), we headed in to check out some of the games. We were given an unlimited game card for the evening, which was such a nice touch! We played everything from standard arcade games, to the new Walking Dead interactive shooter game. It was like a mini Dave & Busters right in Oak Park.

Next up, it was time for the main event, Laser Tag! We headed in with a group of about 8-10 of us, watched a short instructional video, and then got our gear on. The game itself was so much fun. I felt like they gave you so much time! At least 10+ minutes for one game. You can keep track of who you hit as you go, which is super fun to watch as you're running around. The prices are more than reasonable if you’re looking for something fun to do with friends.

I definitely felt like a kid again for the night! Except when I had a glass of wine in my hand…..
