Local Favorite: Poke Tiki

Okay, I get it. Poke is the new craze and you can pretty much find a new poke place popping up on every corner lately. However, that doesn't mean that they are all good, or that they all provide a good customer experience and quality ingredients.

Recently, I heard that a poke place called Poke Tiki had opened at the Janss Marketplace. I decided to try it this past weekend and headed there on a Sunday when they opened at Noon. I opted for the small size, which in my opinion was huge! You get two fish options with the small size and I opted for the regular poke tuna and the spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was my favorite, but both were great and super, super fresh.

I got my bowl with brown rice, avocado, edamame, cucumber and crispy onion. The staff was very friendly and helpful and when I asked for recommendations on the best sauces, they suggested the spicy mayo and the volcano #2 sauce (both come on the side so you can control how much you put on) they were both excellent and so flavorful in the bowl. I loved the spicy kick from the volcano 2 sauce. On top of the food being great, fresh and a great portion/price, the location is clean and well kept. We got our poke bowls to go, and the staffer even offered us an ice pack to put in our to-go bag to keep them chilled as we drove home. Great customer service.

What do you think of these new additions to the Janss Marketplace? I am all for it!
