Saturday Outing: Mini Golf and Margaritas
Looking for some good silly fun this coming long weekend? Look no further than a cheap and fun game of miniature golf. A few weekends ago, we headed over to Castle Park Mini Golf in Sherman Oaks to check it out with some friends. We opted to go on a Saturday morning, because they offer an early bird rate of $3 each between 9 and 10:30am on weekends. Believe it or not, I had never been mini golfing before, and once I got the hang of it, it was a blast. You can tell this venue has been there for quite some time, and it’s not in the best shape, but overall it was a great experience, great price and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. My favorite part were the different vignettes they had throughout the course, from gingerbread houses, to tiki themed areas, it was a fun and silly way to spend the morning. They also have water running throughout the course, and ducks that are strolling through as you play.
After playing 18-holes, we finished up and headed over to one of our favorite Mexican places in Sherman Oaks, Anejo Cantina and Grill. They have this great upper balcony, shaded patio seating area and that is the only place I will sit when we go! It’s pretty quiet and away from any noise or disruptions.
The best part about Anejo in my opinion are the happy hour offerings. They have a huge selection of happy hour items available
EVERY SINGLE DAY from 11am-7pm. That’s basically all day every day! I love the giant margaritas ($3) and their red sangria ($4) and the anejo nachos, chicken quesadilla and queso fundido are some of my favorite splurge items. It’s a great place to go and hang out for a bit with some friends, go check it out!
